Last Tuesday was a good evening with 5 new potential members. We then performed at the MacMillan Cancer Research Coffee Morning at Christ Church Bellingham on Saturday. Our next performance is for the Phoenix Diversity Day on 27th October.
Starting again soon – if you can breathe you can sing! This choir is open to every voice – whether or not you think you can sing. The first gathering of the season is Tuesday 9th October at 7.30pm.
For the coming weeks the choir sessions will start at 7.30 pm and end by 9pm, with the tea break moving from the middle of the session to the end. This should make it easier for people to get to rehearsals.
It’s Spring at last, and time to celebrate with music together. So all are invited to take part in the 2018 Community Concert to raise funds for the choir. This is our fourth year of being around to share energy and soul-lifting sounds.
A reason to be cheerful – the choir starts again on 3oth January. 7pm to 9pm at Christ Church United Reformed Church, 15 Bellingham Green, SE6 3HQ. Beat the January blahs!
We enjoyed singing carols at Lewisham station on the 12th December, despite the cold. We helped to raise nearly £300. We were not alone, and the total raised by choirs across the country was £13,108.
